Reddit Pro is Reddit's free set of tools for businesses: keyword tracking across public discussions, a business profile, post scheduling and organic performance data. For a SaaS founder it answers two questions: where are people discussing the problem you solve, and did anything you posted reach them? It does not buy ads, post for you or exempt you from community rules. This guide covers what Reddit Pro includes as of October 2026, how to set it up, which keywords to track, the rules that get business accounts removed, and a 30-minute weekly routine with a copyable log. It is useful without a Soloop account.
What Reddit Pro is, and what it is not
Reddit describes Reddit Pro as a free suite of organic business tools to help businesses discover, join and contribute to communities and conversations. It is still labeled a beta, available to eligible businesses and organizations in English-speaking countries where Reddit operates. It runs on desktop and mobile web; the Trends tab is also in the iOS and Android apps.
Reddit is explicit about the limits: Reddit Pro is not Reddit Premium, not a paid advertising tool and not a replacement for Reddit Ads. A Reddit Pro account follows the same Reddit Rules and community rules as every other account.
Free, in beta, for eligible businesses and organizations; English-speaking countries; desktop and mobile web, with Trends also in the native apps. Not Reddit Premium and not an advertising tool.

Reddit Help: Reddit Pro featuresShould a SaaS founder set it up?
Signing up is free, so the real cost is the weekly time and the commitment to post as an identified business. It is worth it when your buyers already discuss their work on Reddit and you can contribute something useful beyond your product. Check these first.
- Buyers are there: you can name at least two public communities where people in your customer's role discuss the problem, not just startup forums.
- Language: the discussions are in English. Reddit Pro insights only cover English conversations.
- Time: you can spend about 30 minutes a week reading and replying, every week, for at least a month.
- Something to add: you can answer common questions in full without linking to your product.
- Identity: you are comfortable posting as a business that says who it is. Reddit's rules for Reddit Pro require transparency about the brand you represent.
- Research only? Trends is useful for that too, but you do not need a business profile to read Reddit. Our Reddit market research guide covers the reading side.
Set up Reddit Pro in about 20 minutes
Reddit Pro is attached to an ordinary Reddit account. Decide which account before signing up, because two settings are permanent: Reddit usernames cannot be changed, and the business category you pick at sign-up cannot be changed later.
- Choose the account. A dedicated company account keeps business posts and performance in one place. Usernames are permanent, so pick a name that matches your product.
- Prepare it. The account needs a verified email and must be set to Safe for Work.
- Sign up at redditforpros.com. Select the account type and enter the business name, website and a single category; company size is optional.
- Write the bio. Reddit can suggest bios generated from your website. Pick one only if it is accurate, or write your own: say what the product does and for whom in one sentence.
- Add read-only teammates if needed. Manage Users invites other people with read-only access to Reddit Pro insights during the beta.
- Consider verification. Eligible Reddit Pro businesses can apply under account settings, Professional tools, Verify your profile. A verified business shows a grey checkmark.
A Reddit account with a verified email and a Safe for Work profile; account type, business name, website and category; size optional. The category cannot be changed after sign-up, and a new username requires a new account.
Reddit Help: Sign up for Reddit ProPublic beta for eligible businesses and organizations using Reddit Pro from July 9, 2026. The checkmark means the business verified its identity; Reddit says it does not give the account special treatment in feeds.
Reddit Help: Changelog, July 9, 2026Choose Trends keywords around the job, not just your brand
Trends shows where and when a keyword is discussed: the most-discussed posts and comments, the communities mentioning it and an AI-generated summary of the top discussions. Some keywords are smart keywords, such as certain brand names, products, categories and topics; those add conversation volume over time and related keywords. Other keywords return only matching posts, comments and communities.
An early SaaS brand name is rarely mentioned, so tracking only your name shows an empty page. Track the words your buyers use for the work and for the tools they compare. The examples below are for ShiftNote, an invented shift-scheduling tool for small veterinary clinics.
| Dimension | Example keyword | What it can show you |
|---|---|---|
| Job phrase | shift swap, vet clinic schedule | Threads where people describe the problem in their own words, and the communities where that happens. |
| Workaround | scheduling spreadsheet | What people use today and why it is good enough, or not. |
| Category | employee scheduling app | Which products get recommended and the reasons people give. More likely to be a smart keyword. |
| Competitor | [a named competitor] | Complaints, praise and switching stories. Read the full thread; a single complaint is not demand. |
| Your brand | ShiftNote | Questions and mentions you should answer. Expect few results at first. |
The rules that get business accounts removed
Moderators remove content and ban accounts for breaking community rules, and Reddit Pro accounts are no exception. Reddit lists specific expectations for Reddit Pro users, and in October 2026 it began testing a pause for accounts that post the same content in many communities.
- Read the community's rules and pinned posts before the first comment, including whether links or self-promotion are allowed at all.
- Answer the question in the thread completely. Mention your product only if it is directly relevant, and say that you work on it.
- Write each post for its community. Do not paste the same text into several communities.
- Leave criticism of your product standing and answer it calmly, or not at all.
- Do not ask customers or friends to upvote or praise you, and never offer anything in return.
- Keep the account's history readable: profile flair lets visitors find your answers, guides and updates.
Be transparent about the brand you represent; do not unmask pseudonymous users or build profiles of individuals; do not target, harass or retaliate against users who criticize you; do not offer incentives for positive comments. Reddit Rules and each community's rules apply, and moderators can remove content or act against the account.
Reddit Help: Sign up for Reddit Pro (FAQ)An experiment rolling out in October 2026: posting substantially similar content in too many communities shows "You've posted similar content multiple times. Try again in 12 hours."
Reddit Help: Changelog, October 8, 2026Reddit Pro insights are for internal use. Do not publish screenshots or other information from Reddit Pro without Reddit's consent, do not use other users' posts or comments without permission, and do not download them manually or with automated tools.
Reddit Help: Reddit Pro Feature: TrendsA 30-minute weekly routine
Reddit Pro is most useful as a small, regular habit. The dashboard shows monthly progress against recommended contribution targets, but Reddit says those targets are the same for every Reddit Pro user, so treat them as a reminder rather than a goal for your business.
| Dimension | What to do | What to record |
|---|---|---|
| Read (10 min) | Open each keyword in Trends. Read Most discussed and the AI summary, then open the threads behind them. | Threads with an unanswered question you can answer, and recurring phrases. |
| Reply (15 min) | Answer two or three threads in full. Mention the product only where it is the honest answer. | Thread link, community and whether you mentioned the product. |
| Post (as needed) | Post to your profile, such as a guide, a changelog or a profile AMA. Schedule posts on your profile or in communities you moderate. | Post link and its purpose. |
| Measure (5 min) | Check Performance for views, upvote ratio, replies and followers, and your own analytics for visits and sign-ups. | Numbers in your log, plus any conversation that followed. |
| Monthly | Remove noisy keywords, add phrases you saw people use, and read removed content for the reason. | One sentence on what changed and why. |
Measure what Reddit Pro can and cannot see
Performance reports organic activity only: for posts, total views, upvote ratio, comments, shares and hourly views for the first 48 hours (kept for 45 days); for comments, views, upvotes, replies, shares and top countries; for the account, reach, engagement and followers. Each view can be downloaded as a CSV. Reddit defines views as unique post views.
Reddit Pro does not see what happens after someone leaves Reddit. To connect Reddit activity to trials or revenue, tag links you share where links are allowed, record the source at sign-up and ask new customers where they heard about you. If you publish articles, the Content tab can show posts sharing your domain and outbound clicks, after you identify as a publisher and verify your domain; it is desktop only, and syncing an RSS feed never posts on your behalf.
Organic only; post, comment and account metrics with CSV download; views are unique post views.
Reddit Help: Reddit Pro Feature: PerformanceFor publishers with a verified domain: links, posts, communities, post views and outbound clicks for your domain, plus recommended communities. Renamed from Links in October 2026.
Reddit Help: Reddit Pro Feature: ContentWorked example: four fictional weeks
Everything below is fictional: the product, the numbers and the outcome. It shows how to read a month of Reddit Pro activity; it is not a benchmark, a customer result or output from Soloop.
ShiftNote's founder created a company account, tracked 8 keywords (1 brand, 3 competitors, 2 category and 2 job phrases) and followed the weekly routine for four weeks.
| Dimension | What happened | What the founder concluded |
|---|---|---|
| Trends | The brand keyword found 2 mentions. The job phrase "shift swap" found active threads in two clinic-staff communities. | Most useful discussions use the job phrase, not the category name. |
| Replies | Wrote 14 replies. Moderators removed 2 that included a link; 12 stayed up. | One community does not allow links in comments. Answer there without links. |
| Profile posts | Posted 2 guides to the profile. Replies drew 2,600 views and profile posts 900: 3,500 in total. | Views show reach, not interest in the product. |
| Visits and trials | Analytics recorded 38 visits from tagged Reddit links, and 4 trials named Reddit as the source. | About 11% of tagged visits started a trial; four weeks is too short to call that a rate. |
| Revenue | 1 trial became a paying clinic. | Continue for another month and compare with other channels before spending more time. |

Where Soloop fits
Soloop is an AI cofounder that runs individual go-to-market tasks for a founder. According to the Soloop manual, you can ask it to find relevant Reddit communities and prepare posts or replies, following the account setup and publishing steps shown for the task. It can also research a market and return sources.
Soloop does not connect to Reddit Pro or read its dashboards, and it does not make community rules optional. Keep the decisions in this guide with you: which account posts, whether a product mention is honest, and whether a community allows it. To start, give it a bounded request: My product is [URL] for [role]. Find public communities where [job phrase] is discussed, summarize their rules on links and self-promotion, and draft two replies to recent questions for me to review. Do not post.
Reddit announced in October 2026 that public Data API apps and bots are moving to its Developer Platform: new public API access requests stop on October 31, 2026, and removal begins on January 12, 2027 for apps that have not registered. If you rely on any third-party Reddit monitoring or posting tool, ask how it will access Reddit after those dates.
Sources, limitations and refresh
Facts about Reddit Pro come from Reddit Help pages read on October 12, 2026, including the July 9 and October 8, 2026 changelogs. Search interest comes from Google Trends (US, web search), which shows relative interest rather than search volume. The keyword types, routine, log and fictional example are editorial guidance, not a measured study.
Reddit Pro is a beta. Recheck the features, eligibility and rules before relying on them, and reread a community's rules before every first post there. This guide will be reviewed by January 12, 2027, the date Reddit's API changes begin.
